A cake smash is a fun way to celebrate one of the biggest milestones of the first year. Whether your little one dives straight into the cake or takes their time working out what all the fuss is about, the reactions, smiles and messy moments are what make every session different.
Fun & relaxed
There is no need for a one-year-old to perform for the camera. I keep the session relaxed and let their personality lead the way, capturing everything from curious looks to big laughs and cake-covered hands.

The photographs are about your child at this stage of their life as much as the cake itself. Beautiful portraits and little details can sit alongside the fun of the smash to create a more complete first-birthday gallery.

Your cake smash session is designed around your vision and your little one’s personality, while working within the props and styling options I have available in my studio.
Your session includes a smooth-finish cake in a colour of your choice, lovingly supplied by Butterhaus.
Once you have chosen your preferred colour and overall theme, we’ll work together to create your set. I’ll style the session using the balloons, props and outfits available to me, with the number and combination of items selected to complement your chosen vision.
I provide everything I can within my available collection, including props, balloons and outfits. However, if you have a very specific vision or particular item you would love included that I don’t have available, you are more than welcome to provide or bring along additional items to help complete the set.
My goal is to work with you to create a beautiful, personalised cake smash setup while keeping the styling natural, cohesive and unique to your little one. 🤍
